Don't want to send a disk?

You can always bring it to us.Our offices are open Mon-Fri 9am to 5:30pm and we're in the Oxfordshire town of Thame.

We handle desktop and laptop hard drives in SATA or IDE format.

Unlike many IT support companies, we have professional recovery hardware designed for the recovery process.

Frequently Asked Questions

You can always call us on 01844 216981 if you have a question, but here are a few of the common questions we get asked.

Q. If my machine can't see the drive, how will you be able to?

A. We use dedicated recovery hardware to access your disk. This is not the same as plugging the unit in to a standard PC.

Q. What makes of hard drives can you recover data from?

A. All makes are covered. Our recovery hardware is not manufacturer specific and we can handle drives that have been formatted for PC, Mac or Linux.

Q. Will the recovery invalidate my warranty.

A. Our standard recovery is non-invasive and does not invalidate any warranty on your drive. You should check whether removing the drive from your PC will affect your PC warranty. Our intensive recovery is a component based procedure which would invalidate your warranty but we would contact you before proceeding with this.

Q. How long will the recovery take?

A. We will endeavour to asses your drive within 48hrs of receiving the drive (weekdays). Recoveries typically take 3-5 days to complete. If your recovery is time critical then please let us know.

Q. How do you get the data back to me?

A. Once the recovery is complete we will offer you various return methods, depending upon the amount of data recovered. For single files, email may be suitable. Otherwise we would ship data on DVD, memory stick or external hard drive.

Q. What if the data you recover is not what I'm looking for?

A. Once we complete the assessment we will send you a folder list (by email) for your approval. Only once you approve this list will you be asked for payment.

Q. Apart from the recovery charge, are there any other costs?

A. The assessment is free, you only pay the cost of getting the drive to us. If you approve a recovery, then you pay the recovery fee plus the cost of any return media (DVDs are free) and return postage.
